FAQ

What is the main difference between a copier and a duplicator ?

The biggest difference between a copier and duplicator is the lack of heat. Riso printers are known for "cool-process" printing, a technique that requires extremely low energy usage and can handle thousands of copies. The core technology developed in the 1950's continues to drive development of current duplicators.

What type of paper works best with your printers?

RISO printers do not use any heat to print, so porous papers run best on RISOs. The best paper types include matte finish, presentation paper, or inkjet.

What is F type II ink?

RISO is in the process of merging the z type ink, the e type ink and the f type ink to a universally compatible F type II. RISO has chosen to produce its new ink out of a more ecologically responsible and under utilized material: rice bran. While the ingredient itself is environmentally friendly, rice bran ink has proven to have even better archiving capabilities, by eliminating the yellow paper discoloration that can appear over time. All the colors have not been transitioned over yet.
